Dear Friends & Colleagues

I think you will agree that we recently had two excellent and highly successful APACRS annual meetings, first in Seoul, Korea in 2022 and then in Singapore in 2023. These were important events as they marked our cautious but safe exit from the depths of the COVID-19 pandemic to return to our much anticipated face to face meetings. We believe that face to face meetings are indeed the preferred forum for scientific exchange.

We are therefore delighted to take things further now and announce that the 2024 edition of the APACRS annual meeting will return to China, the most populous nation in the world where we expect an even larger crowd. It will be held in InterContinental Century City Chengdu, a very attractive city which is of course home to the beautiful pandas.

The hunger for more knowledge and quality education by our delegates means that we always strive to present an up-to-date yet relevant and practical scientific meeting. This 36^th APACRS meeting jointly organized with the 24^th CSCRS (Chinese Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgery) annual meeting promises to deliver a great learning experience in 2024. Welcome!
