Dr Jayant V Iyer is a Consultant with the Glaucoma Department at Singapore National Eye Centre (SNEC). He is Adjunct Assistant Professor at Johns Hopkins, USA and at the Duke-NUS Medical School, Singapore. He is also Clinical Lecturer at Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore (NUS).

He completed his undergraduate medical training at NUS in 2004, was conferred the Graduate Diploma in Family Medicine in 2009 and the Master of Medicine (Ophthalmology) in 2011. He became a Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists in 2014, completed his Fellowship examinations at Academy of Medicine, Singapore and subspecialty training in glaucoma at SNEC in 2014 and 2016. He was awarded the MOH HMDP award to pursue a post-doctoral matched clinical Glaucoma Fellowship at the Wilmer Eye Institute, USA from 2016-2017.

His current research interests are in glaucoma surgery optimization, glaucoma health literacy, glaucoma definition and global ophthalmology.
