M. Nazrul ISLAM

Prof. Dr. M. Nazrul Islam is a glaucoma specialist and phaco surgeon, senior consultant at Bangladesh Eye Hospital, and former head of the ophthalmology department at BIRDEM Hospital, Dhaka, Bangladesh. He is president of the Bangladesh Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgeons and the Bangladesh Eye Care Society, chairman of the Board of Management of Jessore Community Eye Hospital and Jessore Eye & Laser Centre, member of the Executive Board of the Asia-Pacific Glaucoma Society, and past president of the Bangladesh Glaucoma Society.

Prof. Islam has authored or co-authored over 60 medical and scientific publications and five books on eye diagnosis and treatment. He is chief editor of the Journal of the Bangladesh Glaucoma Society. Prof. Islam hosts a website at www.profnazrul.com for patients and junior ophthalmologists.
