Mahbubur CHOWDHURY

A pioneer in phaco surgery performing 100 surgeries a month, Dr. Mahbubur Rahman Chowdhury has been Chairman of the Bangladesh Eye Hospital since 2004. He is a member of the Bangladesh Medical Association (BMA), the Bangladesh Ophthalmologic Society, and Sandhani, Bangladesh. Dr. Chowdhury has written papers and presented in numerous forums around the world. He runs a charitable general hospital in his village home where over 1,000 patients are treated and 50 surgeries performed every month. A former national cricket player, he has also been organizing secretary of BMA and vice president of the Dhaka Medical College Student’s Union.
