Nic Reus works at the Amphia hospital in Breda, the Netherlands. His specialty is cataract and anterior segment surgery. He is a senior course instructor in cataract surgery. His research focuses on quality of vision in cataract with key outcomes being development of the pseudophakic straylight norm, validation of the Dutch Catquest-9SF patient-reported outcome measure, and validation of the Cassini color-LED corneal topographer. Dr. Reus is a member of the council of the ESCRS, member of its General Purposes Committee, chair of its Young Ophthalmologists committee, and a member of its Programme Committee. In addition, he is the Secretary of the Netherlands Intraocular Implant Club (NIOIC). Furthermore, he is an elected member of the International Intraocular Implant Club (IIIC).
