Dr. Li Wang is Professor of Ophthalmology at the Department of Ophthalmology, Baylor College of Medicine. She received her MD from Shanxi Medical College, Shanxi Province, China, and her PhD from Ruprecht-Karls-Universitat, Heidelberg, Germany. 

Her research interests focus on refractive surgery, cataract surgery, and intraocular lens power calculations. She is the author of over 150 peer-reviewed papers and 57 book chapters. She serves as Chief Editor of Ophthalmology Research: An International Journal, and editorial board member of Journal of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, Journal of Refractive Surgery, and Journal of Ocular Biology. She is an elected member of the prestigious International Intra-Ocular Implant Club, and Chair of IOL Calculation Subcommittee, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.
