Associate Professor Rupesh Agrawal holds several distinguished positions, among them: Senior Consultant Ophthalmologist (Uveitis and General Ophthalmology); Head of Research, National Healthcare Group Eye Institute, Tan Tock Seng Hospital; Chairperson, Research Talent Development Committee, Tan Tock Seng Hospital; and Honorary Consultant – Moorfields Eye Hospital, NHS Foundation Trust, London.
His research interests include artificial intelligence, ocular inflammation, HIV and ocular infections, ocular tuberculosis, ocular imaging, drug delivery, biomarkers, ophthalmic trauma, and blood flow and biophysics.
Mainly concerned with mentoring clinicians in their research journey, he is lead investigator of PROTON, COTS, IGATES, CVIgrid, COIN, and OASIS, with over 350 publications in peer-reviewed journals and books.
