Minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS) is characterized by a high safety profile and is commonly performed in mild-to-moderate glaucoma patients as a phaco-plus procedure. Combining cataract surgery with MIGS gives glaucoma patients an opportunity to reduce their glaucoma medications and to improve their quality of life. MIGS involves surgical skills which are different from conventional glaucoma surgery, and this Masterclass will provide novice MIGS surgeons with an overview of MIGS, pointers on how to start their MIGS practice, and surgical tips for implanting the various MIGS devices.
